CNN/SI, TestDrive Partner to Create Sports Software Store

Sports site CNN/Sports Illustrated (CNN/SI) and TestDrive Corp., provider of software retailing services, partnered to open an Internet specialty sports software store.

The CNN/SI Sports Software Store will offer titles such as games, simulations and screen savers. Financial arrangements were not disclosed.

"It is our mission to provide sports fans with a complete content, entertainment and merchandising experience," said Steve Zales, general manager of CNN/SI Interactive. "Software clearly appeals to a large percentage of our audience. We want to deliver the best in computer sports software to them in an easy-to-find, easy-to-purchase environment. We chose TestDrive because of its proven ability to create and manage a dynamic, fulfilling and seamlessly integrated merchandising environment."

Mountain View, CA-based TestDrive's electronic commerce services offer customizable, end-to-end electronic commerce solutions, including product selection and recruitment, store design and implementation, store positioning and merchandising, traffic acquisition, customer service and support, and transaction management and reporting.
