CNNfn.com Partners With C2B for E-Commerce

CNNfn.com in New York City formed a strategic partnership with C2B Technologies Inc. to provide integrated, intelligent, e-commerce shopping capabilities through the CNNfn.com Web site.

CNNfn said it also will take an undisclosed equity stake in C2B Technologies.

Under the agreement, CNNfn.com users will be able to use C2B's one-stop-shopping platform to identify merchants, access reliable, third-party product information and purchase goods and services directly from the site.

"CNNfn.com's partnership with C2B is an exciting step forward in our commitment to provide the most comprehensive site for business news, financial intelligence and e-commerce available on the Web," said Lou Dobbs, president of CNNfn.

Scott Walchek, CEO and co-founder of San Mateo, CA-based C2B Technologies, said: "The relationship between CNNfn and C2B demonstrates how a successful Web brand can be extended by partnering with an expert provider of online shopping services. Furthermore, this agreement supports our shared vision to marry commerce and content in such a way that consumers can transform general interests into informed, relevant purchase decisions."

C2B's online shopping platform will be integrated into the CNNfn.com Web site in the fourth quarter. C2B's online shopping service will allow users to compare prices and products from online merchants, online auction sites, online classifieds and local neighborhood stores.

The C2B shopping platform offers products in nearly a dozen popular categories, and includes over 200 online merchants.
