Allaire Corp. and CyberCash Inc. said they are teaming up to provide an updated set of ColdFusion extensions (CFXs) that allows Web developers to incorporate real-time payment technology into their Web sites.
Developers can download a beta version of the CyberCash 3.2 CFXs, as well as existing NetVerify CFXs, from the Allaire Web site at www.allaire.com/ecommerce. The CFXs are free for ColdFusion users.
First released in 1995, ColdFusion is a cross-platform Web application server. It combines an integrated development environment, ColdFusion Studio and the application server, providing a quick way to build and deploy scalable Web applications that integrate browser, server and database technologies.
In May 1997, Cambridge, MA-based Allaire released a component providing ColdFusion developers the opportunity to support online payment processing on their Web sites. Earlier this year, Allaire acquired software components from a third party that link ColdFusion and electronic commerce software from ICVERIFY.
