Since late September, CommerceInc in partnership with Dun & Bradstreet, has been building online business communities with listings that include details about 11 million individual small businesses such as address, CEO, products, services, territories and DUNS number.
Searchable by numerous variables, the community directories can be used by businesses (or individuals) to locate, research and make contact via the Web, fax or phone.
Business Week now will begin hosting its own community on its ENTERPRISE Small Business Resource Center.
Each small business profile within the Business Week community has a unique URL and links to corporate Web sites, catalogs and D&B's full U.S. marketing file and credit reports. The CommerceInc application has been designed to import and present mass quantities of small business data including information from national trade associations, dealer/distributor /franchise lists, newsclipping and wire service archives such as PR News.
"This partnership with Business Week helps the small businessman profit from the Web," said CommerceInc CEO and founder Alan Murray. "The magazine adds an invaluable resource to its Small Business Resource Center with the Internet's most comprehensive and up-to-date information on potential e-commerce partners."
CommerceInc is a privately held Internet business to business marketing and Web-building company based in Lexington, KY and New York's Silicon Alley.
