NetStudio Enters Bundling Alliance with NetObjects

NetStudio Corp. of Berkeley, Calif., a Web graphics software firm, and NetObjects, a provider of site building software, have formed a bundling alliance to deliver a solution for creating, editing and managing professional-looking e-commerce Web sites.

The joint initiative targets the growing number of companies that require an easy, effective way to improve and expand their online business, the companies said.

"Gaining new customers on the Web today is survival of the fittest: If your Web site looks unprofessional, and if you don't evolve your company into areas such as e-business, it harms your company's competitiveness," said Manish Vij, NetStudio's chief executive officer.

"By bundling NetStudio with NetObjects Fusion, our customers now have a comprehensive solution for professional-looking Web sites that attract and retain business..."

NetObjects will license, reproduce and distribute NetStudio's Web graphics creation tool with NetObjects Fusion, a Web authoring product. NetObjects will distribute the NetStudio 1.0 trial version with the NetObjects Fusion trial CD. The two companies said they will also collaborate on a broad range of marketing initiatives and sales promotions.

In the past month, NetStudio has announced distribution and revenue-sharing partnerships with Hiway Technologies and Best Internet, and channel partnerships with Ingram Micro, Micro Warehouse, CDW, PC Connection and PC Zone.

NetStudio will be bundled with NetObjects Fusion 4.0 in January 1998 through a broad variety of distribution channels for a suggested retail price of $295.
