Yahoo! Wallet is the new tool online shoppers may use to safely secure all credit card, billing and shipping information at more than 6,000 online retailers that participate in Yahoo! Shopping, including Barnes & Noble, Dean & Deluca and Neiman Marcus.

Yahoo! (YHOO) consumers can then use the new Express Checkout feature to speed up the buying process.

"We have worked aggressively to develop and add features to Yahoo! Shopping that make the consumer experience more convenient, safe and secure, while at the same time offering our valued merchants more opportunities to create relationships with new and returning customers," said John Briggs, Yahoo!'s director of e-commerce production.

With Yahoo! Wallet, clients purchase merchandise and pay for them, entering all of their information. This data is then saved for future use so shoppers do not have to reenter their information. They may click on the Express Checkout button and the data is automatically filled in.

Yahoo! also added a list of additional product information to enable consumers to make informed purchases. For example, someone shopping for books may peruse author interviews, receive book suggestions or browse award-winning and best-seller lists.
