Applications include Informative SiteExit, CartExit, OnPurchase and SiteLapse, four pre-formatted e-commerce survey solutions that provide statistically valid data to help e-tailers understand their customers' online behavior.
Companies may build and administer surveys in minutes at www.informative.com, integrate them within their own Web sites and view the results in real-time through a browser.
According to Forrester Research, e-tailers are currently converting only 2 percent of their visitors into paying customers; only 15 percent of these return to shop again. In addition, analysts estimate that at least 50 percent of items piled into shopping carts are never actually purchased, Informative said.
Informative SiteExit launches a pop-up survey as a customer departs a company's Web site to learn the customer's reasons for visiting and leaving, future intent to purchase, and overall level of satisfaction with the company.
Informative CartExit launches a survey when a customer exits a shopping cart early to learn why they chose not to complete the transaction. Informative OnPurchase measures the customer's sales transaction satisfaction upon completion of a purchase. Informative SiteLapse allows companies to survey customers following a lapse in the customer's purchases or site visits.
"We've developed sophisticated e-research solutions that are simple-to-use and inexpensive, yet methodologically sound, to make it possible for any company to confidently reap the benefits of online research," said CEO Paul Mann.
Informative's new services are priced at $750 per survey or on an annual usage contract.
