Time Warner Books' electronic publishing division, iPublish.com, unveiled its first list of monthly releases, calling it "the first such list of e-book titles from any major publisher."

iPublish.com, which will launch as an online publishing Web site in the first quarter of next year, will begin distribution of its electronic books this September.

The eclectic first list showcases new works by Time Warner authors including Nelson DeMille, David Baldacci, Sandra Brown, Nicholas Sparks and David Foster Wallace.

The list will also include Passport to Profits, a business book by finance guru Mark Mobius with Stephen Fenichell, the first in a monthly series of business titles that are condensed and reformatted for electronic reading.

iPublish said its titles will be available through several eBook formats, including Microsoft Reader, Gemstar's Rocket eBook and Softbook, Glassbook and PeanutPress, and for sale at certain online retailers such as Barnes & Noble.com.

"I think (the list) offers a taste of the exciting eBooks we'll have in coming months -- such as new works by bestselling brand name authors, original works by some of our most celebrated authors and exclusive content that maximizes the advantages of digital reading," said Claire Zion, editorial director of iPublish.com.

iPublish will be a dedicated Internet publishing venture featuring an online community that will unite readers, authors and editors and develop new methods for the production, distribution, and sales of fiction and non-fiction titles created specifically for the Internet.
