New York City-based community operation this week signed an exclusive $1.2 million partnership deal with Music and DVD Inc., an online music and movie retailer.

A merchandising and advertising program developed for Music HQ will include:

  • anchor tenant status in the music and movie category in and within specially designated shopping sections in the Entertainment, Music, Movies and Television themed areas
  • direct e-mail marketing to globe members
  • sponsorship of 21 entertainment chats and nine seasonal promotions
  • four entertainment contests and sweepstakes
