H-P, HotOffice Team Up in Intranet Alliance

Hewlett-Packard Co. Wednesday signed a marketing agreement with intranet company HotOffice Technologies Inc. to promote intranet services.

Under terms of their agreement, H-P will promote HotOffice on its Covision homepage by offering a free trial of the product suite, as well as through e-mail newsletters and direct mail. The services are targeted toward small business customers.

HotOffice offers small businesses, telecommuters and mobile workers an affordable hosted intranet for $12.95 a month. Features include access to Web-based e-mail, a group calendar, contact manager, document sharing, bulletin boards, online conference rooms and a business resource center.

"Covision customers are very interested in making the Internet work for their businesses," said Greg Mihran, head of Internet business development for HP's Personal Systems Group.

"Promoting HotOffice on our Web site is one more way to help our customers find the Internet technology they need."
