A 'Good' Plan to Pick Up Neomar

Good Technology will announce its acquisition of the intellectual property, patents and software code of San Francisco-based enterprise mobile infrastructure software provider Neomar Wednesday, a Good spokesman told internetnews.com.

Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Good added that it has hired key members of Neomar's technical organization.

The acquisition will allow Good to integrate Neomar's corporate data access systems with future versions of its GoodInfo wireless information system.

"An increasing number of Good's 750 plus customers use GoodInfo to increase the productivity and responsiveness of their mobile employees by providing access to valuable corporate data," said Danny Shader, CEO of Good Technology. "By tightly integrating Neomar's technology, which has been developed over the past four years, we will provide our customers with even greater capabilities."

GoodInfo is designed to allow companies to extend Web-enabled applications like SAP, Oracle, Siebel, Manugistics and Cognos to wireless handhelds, even in environments with intermittent wireless coverage. The system also allows access to corporate and public Web sites.

The company noted that existing GoodInfo applications will remain fully supported by future versions of the system that incorporate Neomar technology.
