The two companies will use IntraNetics 2.0, a suite of full-service applications to create comprehensive intranet solutions.
For American Express, IntraNetics' application will enable personnel to manage travel plans and expenses directly from their intranet. Purchasing tickets, finding last-minute travel bargains and making itinerary changes are now centralized thereby reducing time and effort and increasing productivity, the company said.
Staples' e-commerce site will be integrated into the organization's intranet, empowering authorized personnel to search for products and place orders. Administrators can receive e-mail reminders and personalized lists to help manage inventory. A product matchmaker and order status report will also be offered.
