Aspect to Deploy Selectica ISS

Selectica Inc., (Nasdaq:SLTC), provider of Internet Selling Systems (ISS) for e-Businesses, Monday (Jan 29) announced an expanded relationship with Aspect Communications (Nasdaq:ASPT), the leading provider of customer relationship portals. Aspect will deploy Selectica's ISS as an enterprise-wide web solution in order to empower Aspect's global sales force by simplifying the configuration and ordering of products and services online.

"Our earlier success with Selectica has prompted us to extend the ISS platform to an enterprise-wide Internet solution. This is a natural and necessary evolution that will allow us to remain competitive in a very fast-paced market," said Fred Harder, senior vice president of product operations at Aspect. "The ISS simplifies the internal sales process, improves our worldwide sales productivity and ability to sell a more diverse product line."

Selectica's ISS simplifies and accelerates the process of selecting, configuring, pricing and purchasing enterprise-class products and services across all sales channels. Selectica's ISS currently provides real-time access to the most current pricing and product information for hundreds of Aspect global field representatives, enabling them to generate quotes even faster with greater accuracy. By implementing this selling application for modular products, Aspect is meeting its aggressive goal of providing the fastest and most accurate customer service available.

Aspect implemented the Selectica solution to support their ongoing mission of optimizing sales force efficiency and effectiveness in selling Aspect's diverse product line in a much shorter timeframe. Aspect's Customer Relationship Portal and Aspect's portal applications, including Aspect eWorkforce Management, Aspect Web Interaction, Aspect Multimedia and Aspect Customer Email among others can be configured in different ways to accommodate diverse customers' needs.

"Selectica provided Aspect with the technology and industry expertise it needed to streamline business processes related to order management and quickly respond to the ever-changing combinations of products and business rules," said Raj Jaswa, president and CEO of Selectica. "Aspect's continued commitment to Selectica's ISS supports the effectiveness and value of our solution in enabling this change."
