The latest release of Content Connect from OnePage, Inc. is designed to help organizations create portlets -- the units of information that together make up a portal page.
Based on a patent-pending technology, Content Connect identifies, automatically extracts and reliably retrieves user-specified information from Web-accessible sources for portal-building and wireless initiatives, without required involvement from IT departments.
Content Connect can be used to create portlets from a wide variety of Web-accessible sources, including: subscription information services, B2B exchange account stats, Intranet project sites, information contained on competitor's Web sites, partner information from partner sites, and legacy systems (that have an HTML interface). Enterprise pricing for the Content Connect application starts at $125,000.
"Content Connect challenges the conventional model of getting information into portals; said Michael Marubio, COO of OnePage. "OnePage has combined one of the most advanced content-extracting technologies with an interface process that can be used by both end-users and portal developers."
