Co-developed with portal technology from TIBCO Software Inc. Yahoo! Corporate Yahoo! is an enterprise information portal based on the My Yahoo! interface.
The two companies created Yahoo! Portal Builder software to enable the
integration of customized Internet content delivered by Yahoo!
Corporate Yahoo! consists of a highly personalized portal where employees
can pull up financial news, human resource news, stock quotes and a slew of
relevant information released by their firms.
Yahoo! inked a number of technical and content alliances en route to rolling
out the latest major enterprise strategy, a sector that Merrill Lynch
predicts will climb from $4.4 billion in 1998 to $14.8 billion in 2002.
The first clients to deploy Corporate Yahoo! include Alcatel, Inktomi Corp. and Network Appliance.
In addition to soliciting TIBCO for portal solutions, Yahoo! has called upon
Hewlett-Packard Co.
Inktomi Corp., Yahoo!'s default search provider for the last two years, will
provide premier search and navigation technology. Ironically, Inktomi was
replaced Monday as the portal giant's default search provider by Google.com which released what it claims to
be the world's largest search index.
Yahoo! has also developed alliances with the following technology solution
providers to boost the quality of Corporate Yahoo!'s service:
