Prodigy, HotOffice Team to Offer Intranet Tool

Prodigy Communications Corp.'s Business Solutions division Monday joined HotOffice Technologies Inc. to offer a co-branded version of the HotOffice web-based intranet service to Prodigy's small and mid-sized business customers.

By using the HotOffice software, business customers can create their own intranets. Prodigy will market and distribute HotOffice from the Prodigy Business Solutions Web site, via direct mail, online and in print advertising. HotOffice is to provide a co-branded version of HotOffice that links to the Prodigy Business Solutions Website, allowing Prodigy to cross-merchandise its offerings.

"Prodigy's Internet expertise and Web hosting services, together with HotOffice, offers customers the all-in-one solution for turning the Web into a powerful business tool for a company of any size," said Jim Dougherty, general manager of Prodigy Business Solutions.

"Offering our customers the most comprehensive, easy-to-use, yet affordable services is what empowers them to compete and grow their business."

"HotOffice is an ideal complement to Prodigy's new focus on the small business marketplace," said Michael Franz, HotOffice Technologies Inc.'s chairman and chief executive officer.

"Prodigy provides the hosting and the know-how for the user to get to the Web, and HotOffice gives them an additional reason for being there, turning it into a productive, money-saving experience."
