AT&T, IBM Team Up to Provide Remote Access Services

AT&T this week announced it will work IBM's global network to enhance its enterprise class virtual private network services, which provide businesses with a single, integrated solution for domestic and international Internet dial and VPN dial access.
The IBM global network serves the networking needs of more than 1 million individual Internet users and businesses in 59 countries. In its partnership, AT&T signed an IBM International Remarketer Agreement to offer its services through IBM's network.
The agreement calls for AT&T Global IP Dial Services, powered by the IBM Global Network, offer customers corporate VPN dial access with various levels of security features. Users will be able to connect to the network via a local phone call from 59 countries.
"This agreement means AT&T customers will now have access to IBM's premier managed network services for their global intranet, Internet and VPN service requirements," said Bruce R. Jackson, vice president for network services, IBM Global Services.
