Dubbed the Preferred Family Package, Gateway's new push includes a desktop and laptop PC, digital camera, portable MP3 player, color printer, scanner, wireless network, in-home installation (including networking), and software and training packages for digital music and digital photography.
While the company hasn't yet disclosed an overall price for the package, it said customers could get it for as low as $99 a month, with no payments for the first 90 days.
For that price, consumers get:
- A Gateway 500S desktop complete with Intel Pentium 4 1.5 GHz process and 256MB of SDRAM
- A Gateway Solo 1200XL portable PC with Intel Celeron 850 MHz process and 128MB SDRAM, as well as integrated wireless connectivity
- An Intel Wireless Gateway and Intel AnyPoint Wireless II Adapter
- An Epson Stylus C60 inkjet printer
- A Visioneer One-Touch 5800 scanner
- A Fuji digital camera
- A Gateway Music:)Ware Digital Audio Creator Pack (including an MP3 player)
- A Gateway Photo:)Ware Picture This! Photo Bundle
- In-home installation of hardware and networking.
