Tiny Psystar, would be Mac clone maker, lost its day in court to Apple and appeared ready to shut down operations. But as Hardware Central reports, the company plans to keep going.
Mac clone maker Psystar is not dead after all. The company reopened its Web site Saturday with nothing but one software product for sale, and it was listed as out of stock.
Still, it's better than out of business.
Eugene Action, an attorney for Psystar, said that his comment to Dow Jones Newswires that the company would be "shutting things down immediately" was taken out of context, and that the site was shut down to bring the company into compliance with the permanent injunction issued by U.S. District Court Judge William Alsup last Tuesday.
The injunction barred Psystar from selling computers with Apple's (NASDAQ: AAPL) Mac OS X. Alsup ordered Psystar to "immediately begin this process, and take the quickest path to compliance." So it did.
