Datapipe Unveils Managed Services For AWS

Interest in cloud computing continues to grow led by companies like Amazon, which one analyst says has quickly become "the poster child for cloud services."

But Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) doesn’t have all the management features and service level agreements enterprises rely on. Enter managed service provider Datapipe, which is partnering with Amazon to make its Amazon Web Services (AWS) more enterprise-friendly with a simplified fee structure and a suite of cloud services. While some managed service providers position themselves as alternatives to Amazon's fast-growing Amazon Web Services (AWS), Datapipe is taking a different approach, embracing and extending AWS for enterprise customers interested in tapping into the cloud.

"It's a pretty unique thing in the marketplace and validates the interest in the cloud today in the enterprise," Ed Laczynski, vice president of cloud strategy and architecture at Datapipe, told InternetNews.com.
