Thoma Bravo Acquiring Network Instruments

Networking vendor is Network Instruments (NI),  is being acquired by private equity firm Thoma Bravo. Full financial terms of the deal are not being publicly disclosed.

"We have been focused in the last 18-24 months to find best-in-class companies in the network management space," Robert Sayle, principal, Thoma Bravo told InternetNews.com. "We identified Network Instruments on a proprietary basis as early as 2010, and remained in contact with company for two years before the company was too successful to ignore."

Sayle added that the founders of Network Instruments have done a phenomenal job in generating consistent and predictable growth, year after year.

"The Company is at a current scale where we feel our experience and track-record working with software companies of this size will allow us to partner with management to accelerate organic growth and scale the business through add-on acquisitions," Sayle said. "Thoma Bravo has plans to invest in all functional areas of the business expanding the company's global reach and building upon the continued innovation across all product lines."
