Terms of the $5 million deal call for CacheFlow's accelerators to be integrated into Road Runner's nationwide infrastructure. The joint venture between Time Warner, MediaOne Group, Microsoft, Compaq and Advance/Newhouse claims that with the new accelerators, Road Runner will provide the nation's fastest access to Internet content.
"Road Runner's mission is to offer its subscribers the best broadband online experience possible," said Carl Rosetti, interim CEO for Road Runner. "CacheFlow's products are a key component to our success. We are seeing impressive performance results for the cities where we have already deployed CacheFlow, and are excited about the benefits it brings to our customers."
"CacheFlow's mission to accelerate the Internet makes for a perfect match with Road Runner's broadband service offering," said Brian NeSmith, CacheFlow's chief executive officer. "CacheFlow enables Road Runner to deliver its content to users the moment it is requested, regardless of how busy the Internet is."
