SoftNet Launches In 14 New Markets

SoftNet now operates a total of 31 access-over-cable systems in conjunction with its cable affiliate partners. The cable access affiliation now tops 2 million homes passed in the US and Puerto Rico.
New access to cable markets include service Arizona, California, Florida, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Puerto Rico.
"These additional cable system commercial launches solidify our position as a national presence in providing high speed Internet access to the small to mid-sized cable markets across the country," according to Lawrence B. Brilliant, president and chief executive officer of SoftNet.
ISP Channel president, Ian Aaron added, "Demand for high speed Internet access is increasing rapidly and a significant portion of subscriber requests are coming from rural and small town areas where access is integral to communication and running businesses."
SoftNet's ISP Channel partners with small and mid-sized cable systems to provide broadband cable access to the Internet. ISP Channel's services to partnering cable affiliates include cable head-end equipment and integration, Internet backbone connectivity, and 24-hour technical support.
