Concentric Signs Net Broadcast Deal, Expands Small Business Product Line

Concentric Network announced today it entered into an Internet Broadcasting alliance with ITV.Net and expanded its ConcentricHost line of access and hosting products.

Concentric and ITV.Net will collaborate on the development of solutions for corporate and distance learning Internet broadcasting, the first of which will be customized for corporate training, distance learning, and education applications.

The companies said their bundled services will enable turnkey multimedia solutions based on Microsoft NetShow, and will feature applications consulting, outsourced video production and integration services, Web hosting services, live event management, streaming multimedia asset management, and 7x24 customer support.

"ITV.Net's Webcasting expertise and sophisticated Webcasting tools, combined with Concentric's state-of-the-art network and scalable hosting services, will make this the most complete package available to enable Internet-based training and education," said Henry R. Nothhaft, chairman, president and CEO of Concentric Network.

The Cupertino, CA-based company also announced today the addition of ConcentricHost Internet Suite service packages to its ConcentricHost line of products.

Ranging in price from $59.95 to $199.95 a month, ConcentricHost Internet Suite includes dial-up access, e-mail accounts, bandwidth allotment, shared SSL security, and full domain names. An "instant Intranet" solution is also included to offer users a password protected internal or extranet collaboration space, in addition to e-mail and dial-up Internet access accounts.
