e-Net in Transatlantic Net Telephony Deal

Telecom provider e-Net, Inc. announced an agreement with CxTEL, Inc. to distribute the e-Net Telecom 2000 gateway for use in establishing IP telephony service between Europe and the U.S.

Under the agreement, CxTEL, a Texas-based Internet service provider, will be responsible for the integration of Telecom 2000 gateways on various Eastern Europe ISP wide area networks.

e-Net said it will accept orders for Telecom 2000 from CxTEL under a new sales contract.

"This is a significant order today and under the agreement, we expect orders to grow substantially," said Robert Veschi, e-Net President and CEO, in a statement. "Under this agreement, e-Net is sending its engineering team to Eastern Europe with CxTEL this month. We expect growth to occur with smaller entrepreneurial companies with an international focus."

Recent e-Net agreements include a contract with Diamond Telecom to provide IP telephony service between South America and the U.S.

The company also reached an agreement with German electronics firm ComTel for the sale and distribution of Telecom 2000 in Western Europe.
