PowWow Promotes Communities to ISPs

What does it take to build a community? Tribal Voice believes anyone can do it with the right software and the right partners.

"As more and more families and circles of friends extend their offline relationships into online communities, PowWow is committed to being the easiest and most comprehensive solution available for them," said Tribal Voice President and CEO Joseph Esposito.

The company hopes to extend its audience by offering ISPs a marketing program that will make "community-hosting" an additional service they can offer to customers.

The company unveiled its PowWow Partners Program at the ISPcon show. ISPs can choose from three levels of participation in the program, including the distribution of the free PowWow client software, the reselling of PowWow community hosting capabilities, and the sharing of revenue from incremental monthly service charges.

Resale of community hosting will be discounted from prices that start as low as $49.95 for a 10-user PowWow community.

PowWow software provides voice messaging, instant messaging, buddy lists, and a collaborative white board where users can share files, URLs and sounds.
