Samsung Unwraps Wi-Fi-Only Galaxy Tab

Samsung has caught Android fever in a big way. At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the firm unveiled a new, Wi-Fi-only version of its popular Galaxy Tab. Additionally, Samsung previewed the forthcoming Infuse 4G smartphone to run on AT&T's next-generation mobile network.

But that wasn't all. Without getting into the details, Samsung also teased new partnerships that it plans to illuminate at the show later this week. Enterprise Mobile Today has the story on Samsung's news from CES.


LAS VEGAS -- Samsung today announced that the Wi-Fi-only version of its popular Galaxy Tab will be available later this quarter, previewed the eventual release of the Infuse 4G smartphone for AT&T and teased several more content and partnership deals that will be revealed later at this week's Consumer Electronics Show.

Omar Khan, chief strategy officer of Samsung's mobile business unit, told attendees to expect several significant new partnership announcements regarding mobile content and devices in the next few days as this year's edition of the world's largest tradeshow hits full stride.
