Members of the OpenStack Foundation have been voting on upcoming release names and the results are now in.
The most recent OpenStack release was Mitaka, which debuted in April of this year and is set to be followed by Newton in October. The name for the first release of 2017 had previously been voted on as as well and will be called Ocata.
The P and Q releases for the second half of 2017 and the first half of 2018, respectively, were up for grabs. The 'P' release cycle summit will be held in Boston and as such names related to that city or the New England area were candidates.
The winning name is Pico - which is the name of a mountain area with a ski resort.
For the 'Q' release summit that event is set to occur in Sydney Australia. The name 'Questa' was chosen, names after a place in New South Wales called Questa Park.
