Microsoft Small Business Server Heads for Cloud

Microsoft's Small Business Server has been on the market for more than a decade, but as the company continues to look toward the clouds, it decided that it's time for an upgrade.

For the first time, Microsoft will add cloud capabilities to its Small Business Server in a release it plans to preview within the next couple months. Small Business Computing takes a look.

Microsoft's annual Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) often seems to be all about big business and big sales organizations, but this year's event also holds some goodies for smaller firms as well.

In an announcement at WPC 2010 in Washington on Monday, Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) officials said they will release preview versions of two upcoming versions of Small Business Server (SBS) in the next couple of months.
