Microsoft Ships Windows 7 SP1
In the cycle of Microsoft's releases, the initial service pack is a major milestone in the maturation of a product.
Now, Microsoft is putting its Windows 7 through that rite of passage, releasing service pack 1 (SP1) to PC OEMs.
Microsoft's release, which also encompasses Windows Server Release 2 (R2), will be available to corporate customers next week, with the release slated for Feb. 22.
