HP SureStart Set to Evolve 'AirGap' Security for All

Hewlett-Packard (HP) is evolving its SureStart technology to provide more security capabilities to its users in the near future. SureStart is a technology that was first announced  by HP in September of 2013 and offers the promise of a self-healing PC BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) that can protect users from attacks.

Helping to drive SureStart forward is Vali Ali, a Distinguished Technologist at HP, where he has worked for the last 21 years.

"BIOS is an area of security HP identified early on as being a potential risk," Ali explained to eWEEK. "If an attack is able to get into the BIOS, really bad things can happen."
