Billing software provider Daleen
Technologies Inc.
Friday acquired e-commerce billing
company Inlogic Software Inc. in a
stock exchange worth $64.8 million.

All of Inlogic’s outstanding shares and options will be exchanged for 2.385
million newly issued shares and options of Daleen. Chief Executive Officer James Daleen will
merge Inlogic into its operations with the intention of expanding resources
in Toronto in order to
continue the advancement of Inlogic’s products. Inlogic’s President and CEO

Daleen and will also serve as president of Daleen Canada.

Daleen (DALN)
said the acquisition will improve its customer
self-care and electronic bill presentment technology. The two companies have already marketed their products jointly to customers.

Inlogic’s e-business solution includes:

  • E-care — An electronic customer relationship management software
solution providing with billing sytems and customer
self-care capabilities. eCare enables service providers to enhance customer
    satisfaction while significantly
    reducing related operating costs

information and share network capabilities for a growing range of services
    for customers

“We are excited to join the Daleen family because they have demonstrated
tremendous market leadership, and we believe that together we can grow our
business much faster than as separate companies,” said Mohammad Aamir,
president and CEO of Inlogic.

The acquisition was the highlight of a full day for Daleen, who also forged
an alliance with MetaSolv Software
Inc.
(MSLV)
through which the two companies plan to integrate Daleen’s Billplex and
MetaSolv’s Telecom business solutions to help communications providers
establish client management systems.
