Seattle-based Monet Mobile Networks, which provides mobile Internet access, announced Monday that it closed $32 million in financing and rolled out its second CDMA2000 1X market in Fargo, N.D.

The announcement comes on the heels of the commercial availability of its wireless Internet service in Sioux Falls, S.D., where the company deployed the first data-only CDMA2000 1X network in the U.S. last October.

Monet plans to launch additional markets in the upper Midwest this year, and said it is focused on market deployments and growth of its subscriber base, especially in small markets that are underserved by other broadband services like DSL and cable.
