SAN Valley Systems announced today that they will demonstrate IP SAN interoperability with other storage vendors at the Storage Networking World 2001 (April 9-11).
According to SAN Valley, its SL1000 will be interconnected with Fibre Channel products from Agilent, Brocade, IBM and Emulex, transporting storage traffic at wire-speed across Gigabit Ethernet switches from Extreme Networks and Cisco Systems without performance degradation.
SAN Valley says it will show how enterprise customers can synchronously transfer data from a Fibre Channel SAN, across an IP Metropolitan or Wide Area Network to a remote data center without performance degradation. The SL1000 will utilize zoned switch ports from the SAN, interoperating with the E-port from the fabric switches across the IP network.
The SL1000 will be featured in the IP Storage demo within the "Emerging Technology" showcase of the Storage Networking Intdustry Association Interoperability Lab at the show.
