MPEG-4 content delivery platform provider iVAST Inc. Tuesday announced an alliance with Kasenna, Inc., to integrate iVAST's MPEG-4 solution with the Kasenna MediaBase software platform. The integrated solution provides an MPEG-4 enabled platform for media streaming, management and distribution.

"iVAST and Kasenna have complimentary visions and expertise," said Elliot Broadwin, chief executive officer at iVAST. "Both iVAST and Kasenna want to create efficiencies and revenue-generating opportunities for streaming media ventures. By uniting the authoring, serving and client playback capabilities of iVAST's complete MPEG-4 solution with the Kasenna MediaBase platform, we can provide a solution that empowers content owners to be more efficient, realize greater return on their investment and generate richer end user experiences."

Under the terms of the agreement, the companies will jointly work to integrate iVAST's MPEG-4 interactive media streaming server with Kasenna MediaBase. Included in the solution will be iVAST's MPEG-4 interactive media player and authoring tools. Integrating with Kasenna technology allows iVAST to immediately benefit from the content management and distribution capabilities of the Kasenna MediaBase platform.

"Kasenna is pleased to be working with iVAST, a respected leader in the emerging MPEG-4 space," said Neil McGowan, vice president of Sales and Marketing at Kasenna. "Integrating with iVAST's products and technologies fulfills the market's demand for high quality video and interactive 2D and 3D experiences, and is consistent with our strategy of providing our customers with powerful new streaming technologies."
