They say you haven't arrived until you have your own magazine. If that's so, streaming media is very much in the vanguard of whats happening.

On the heels of Julys debut of Streaming Magazine, and rumors that two more streaming magazines are in the wings, Advanstar Communications Inc. Thursday launched Streaming4Business, a new publication written for corporate users of streaming and rich media. The new publication hits the street in October 2000.

"While streaming has gained tremendous attention in the entertainment business, it is becoming a critical information tool for corporate communications," said Keith Gallagher, publisher. "We are delighted to be able to offer the market the first information source for streaming solutions and services."

Editorially, Streaming4Business will focus on streaming and rich media applications while demonstrating the benefits of integrating streaming in the enterprise. Andrew W. Davis, with a track record in conferencing technologies, applications, customers and vendors and in investigating the transition from videoconferencing to voice, video and data collaboration across switched and packet networks, will serve as editorial director.

Two issues of Streaming4Business will be published in 2000, in October and December. Each issue will reach 50,000 corporate executives and managers who are responsible for various facets of their company's internal and external communications. Charter advertising rates are available by calling 714-513-8440 or 714-513-8839.
