The partnership, announced last week at the Linux World Expo Conference and Exhibition in Sydney, Australia, establishes a scalable Open Source foundation for e-business application development and deployment.
TurboLinux is billed as "the fastest growing Open Source operating system," while Lutris calls Enhydra "the leading Open Source Java/XML application server." Together, the technologies allow users to create and deploy scalable e-business applications. They provide developers with a solid platform for future development, and ensure that developers will have "world-class training, certification and support" for Enhydra running on TurboLinux.
Enhydra will be distributed as a part of the TurboLinux companion CD and
listed in the TurboLinux Application Directory as a "premier development
environment." Lutris plans to provide support, training and services for
Enhydra applications running on TurboLinux.
