Appshop Honored by Oracle

Enterprise software vendor Oracle Corp. yesterday announced that Fremont, Calif.-based ASP Appshop won the Oracle E-Business Suite PartnerNetwork award for Marketing Excellence.

Appshop won the Marketing Excellence award based on its ability to run innovative marketing initiatives and events surrounding Oracle E-Business Suite that have resulted in increased sales in the past 12 months, according to Oracle, who made the announcement at AppsWorld 2003 in San Diego. Oracle said that With a 200-person staff dedicated to Oracle, Appshop has completed more than 60 Oracle E-Business Suite implementations in addition to hosting over 300 instances of the Oracle E-Business Suite for its more than 100 customers.

Oracle credits AppShop with developing the Demand Creation Execution program and hosting 32 events and national initiatives surrounding customer relationship management (CRM) implementation and references in the past year. These campaigns, Oracle reports, have resulted in more than 130 new registered leads and millions in revenue for Oracle and Appshop.

"Working closely with Oracle, Appshop has developed outstanding capabilities in outsourcing, managed services and consulting that help our clients understand, improve and maintain the performance of the Oracle E-Business Suite," said Larry Abramson, senior vice president of sales and services at Appshop. "Our marketing provides us with the ability to share our Oracle support and consulting experiences with the broader Oracle community."

Appshop was founded in 1997 and is an Oracle National Accounts Partner and an Oracle Certified Solutions Partner that provides Oracle E-Business Suite consulting and outsourcing services.

The four other winners of 2003 Oracle PartnerNetwork Oracle E-Business Suite include the following:

  • E-Business Partner of the Year: BearingPoint
  • Best Newcomer: Abaris
  • Business Excellence: Cap Gemini Ernst & Young
  • Innovation and Quality: Accenture
