CBS and Yahoo are going to offer "60 Minutes" on-demand.
The companies said the content will be available this fall when the broadcast news magazine begins its 39th season. Each week, the Yahoo site will be updated with a segment featured that week on the television broadcast and other "60 Minutes" video footage. A special preview will be available starting Sunday, March 26, featuring an interview with Tiger Woods.
Last December, CBS and Yahoo partnered to offer streaming episodes of sitcoms "Two and Half Men," and "How I Met Your Mother."
"We want to be a place where people come for engaging content, be it news, sports or entertainment," he said, "Our goal is to get [users] to come back more frequently and stay longer."
On-demand video is a popular feature across the Web. Just last week, AOL debuted its In2TV, an ad-supported service providing on-demand re-runs, and, according to Nielsen//NetRatings, CBS broke Internet records with its free March Madness offering.
