Interland, Inc. (Nasdaq: ILND), a Web solutions provider, will wrap up its week at InternetWorld conference in Los Angeles after launching its enhanced shared Web hosting service, Interland True Advantage.
True Advantage was developed to streamline use by Interland's customers by cutting a clearer path to more complex Web hosting solutions for SMEs, including the Openwave e-mail Mx (formerly known as software.com InterMail Mx) messaging platform, re-design to the shared ColdFusion product offering and new bandwidth billing for streaming media services.
"Small- and medium-sized businesses often cannot afford to develop the hardware, software and IT infrastructure required to deploy a sophisticated Web site," Mark Alexander, Interland's senior vice president of sales, marketing and business development, said. "Companies that choose to utilize an outsourced solutions provider will experience faster time-to-market for their Web site while being supported by multi-million dollar software systems and a highly skilled team of operational personnel."
Customers have the choice of either a Red Hat Linux or Windows 2000 operating systems.
Interland also announced that it will now offer a separate customer care department from technical support assistance, in the hopes of lessening call times and improving service to its customers.
At 12:15 p.m. Friday, Interland stock was trading at $ 1.56, down six cents.
