Chapter 2 to Host Oracle E-Business Suite

San Francisco-based Chapter 2, an ASP infrastructure provider, is the latest company to join Redwood Shores-based Oracle's Partner Program, the company announced Wednesday.

The program is network of more than 12,000 companies in 120 countries who deliver e-business solutions based on Oracle (Nasdaq: ORCL) software.

"We are pleased that Chapter 2 will be offering hosting solutions for the Oracle E-business Suite," says Oracle VP of ASP Businesses Jon Simmons. "The management team at Chapter 2 has extensive business application domain expertise, which makes them an ideal hosting partner."

The announcement means Chapter 2 will deliver Oracle's customer management applications through its ASP-on-Tap service, a business application hosting infrastructure for ASPs.

The partnership has caught the attention of well-known consulting firms like the Aberdeen Group in Boston, who say this is a great deal for Chapter 2.

"This relationship says a lot about the way Chapter 2 has diligently built its hosting infrastructure and end user support," says Aberdeen Managing Director Lew Hollerbach.

Chapter 2 is a privately owned company, which has secured financing from Convergence Partners, Sand Hill Capital, and Hewlett-Packard Company.
