Cygent Gets Mobile With Everypath

Mobile application platform provider Everypath and Cygent Inc., the first company to offer a comprehensive eBusiness Support System (eBSS) solution for the communications industry, announced Monday (Jan 8) an agreement to utilize the Everypath Mobile Application Platform as the mobile solution for Cygent's leading eBSS offering, while incorporating Cygent's system in Everypath's engagements for the communications industry.

"Cygent has the communications industry's most comprehensive eBSS solution available today," said David Chan, vice president of business development at Everypath. "It supports all interactions between communications service providers and their customers and partners, including targeted marketing, online shopping and order entry, bill presentment and payment, account management and customer service. Cygent provides a total web-based support system, including all the back end integration, for communications companies."

The combined Cygent-Everypath solution will enable communications service providers to effectively support their customers with self-care functionality over mobile devices. Customers will have the ability to view their account information, check orders, view and pay bills, and make changes to their existing services through web interfaces on mobile phones, PDAs and other IP-enabled edge devices. This solution will also mobilize internal users, such as field service technicians, sales agents, as well as channel partners by enabling them to perform remote sales and technical support.

Cygent's eBusiness Support System (eBSS) solutions for the communications industry are designed to enable any interaction, for any service, through any point of contact. Cygent-powered solutions streamline and support all interactions between communications service providers and their customers and partners by providing a one-stop shop for transport, content and applications.

"We are excited to have Everypath as our mobile application platform partner," said Steven Bamberger, vice president of marketing at Cygent. "We know first-hand the strength of the company, its products, its services and its commitment. By leveraging Everypath's technology to accelerate our wireless point of contact delivery, Cygent continues its commitment to providing eBusiness solutions that empower end-customers, channel partners, and internal sales and service agents."

The Everypath Mobile Application Platform and Intelligent Rendering process mobilize corporate applications, database information and web content for customized interaction with the widest array of wireless, broadband and voice devices -- including smart phones, PDAs, pagers, interactive TV and ordinary voice telephones.
