Telenisus Corp. Monday (June 11) unveiled its Rapid Start Hosting Platform, which allows customers to develop, test and deploy applications in the same hosted environment.
Telenisus Rapid Start Hosting Platform has four phases, including a "rented" development environment, Web application testing service, an automated stress test of the developed application and a fully managed Web Hosting service.
"The same secure infrastructure upon which customers trust us for hosting now is available for developing and testing before deployment. That's a significant step-up for customers that want to get to market faster and more reliably," said Steve Hoffman, director of product management, Telenisus.
The WebDevelop development environment – which includes EMC storage, Unix and Windows 2000 or NT servers, virtual private networking and other features – can be used on a month-to-month basis and is easily transitioned to full production mode within a Telenisus hosting center.
Telenisus WebRecon is a Web application testing service that helps customers secure information assets by detecting, assessing and fixing vulnerabilities before they can be exploited. Sanctum Inc.'s AppScan application vulnerability assessment tool is integrated into the new Telenisus WebRecon service. WebRecon scans will be performed by Telenisus' professional services security consultants prior to deployment.
Telenisus WebPerform is an automated stress test of the developed application, ensuring the highest quality of performance prior to its deployment. Telenisus WebPerform identifies performance issues in advance that could affect capacity planning, accessibility, scalability and user satisfaction.
Once the application is developed, it can be hosted with Telenisus Managed Web Hosting, a fully managed service that provides a reliable, scalable and secure hosting and storage infrastructure for Web-based applications. Customers can enter the Rapid Start Hosting Platform at any of the four phases, whichever suit their individual business needs.
"Customers are far more aware of the strategic and competitive significance of an always-on Web infrastructure in today's marketplace, and it has elevated their concern over losing business due to poorly performing Web sites," said David Tapper, program manager for IDC, Framingham, Mass. "To alleviate this concern, infrastructure service providers must offer services that test applications for vulnerabilities and performance, as well as support the development of a Web application. These services are part of a robust service delivery model, such as that offered by Telenisus, that should meet customer needs for a highly available, secure and scalable Web infrastructure."
Founded in June 1999, Telenisus is a privately held managed Internet infrastructure service provider, headquartered in Rolling Meadows, Ill., a Chicago suburb.
