Bellevue-based VoteHere (VoteHere.net) announced yesterday that it has brought on board David Veneski as its new VP of Product Marketing.
David has a background in new product introduction, product definition and management, networking systems and software performance from his experience at Appliant.com, Cisco Systems, Wall Data and Apple Computer Company.
David's expertise will be critical as VoteHere pushes for voting system reform to incorporate its electronic voting system.
This push forward comes as a Boston-based political-related site closed its doors yesterday in Boston and Washington the Capital.
Voter.com Chief Executive Officer Justin Dangel said "financial conditions" worked against the site and added that the union of the Internet and politics would some day be a success.
Back in Washington the State, VoteHere seems to be confident about the success of the union of the Internet and voting. VoteHere's proprietary patent-pending technology to provide voting systems for both public and private elections has already caught the attention of big players such as Compaq Computer Corporation and Cisco Systems. The two companies were part of a recent Series C round that brought in $10 million.
