Wireless business solutions vendor Infowave Software Inc. announced today that its Wireless Business Engine software will now support Palm OS devices via Infowave's Exchange Connector.
Infowave's Exchange Connector is a bridge for mobile users to wirelessly access Exchange email, calendars, tasks and contacts.
Infowave's Wireless Business Engine is designed to deliver wireless access to the Internet, company intranets, and other web-based applications. Infowave says its Wireless Business Engine also supports wireless access from laptops, other types of handheld devices, as well as Internet-ready mobile phones and pagers.
Bob Egan, vice president and research director for mobile and wireless at Gartner said "the market leaders will be those providing scalable, device-independent and network-independent solutions that allow corporate decision makers to empower their knowledge workforce - helping them to keep pace with the accelerating heartbeat of business."
With the addition of support for Palm OS enabled devices, Infowave plans on becoming such a company. Time will tell what its customers think.
