Open Office Fork LibreOffice 3.3 Released

LibreOffice 3.3 has arrived, courtesy of an official release this week from the Document Foundation.

The latest version of LibreOffice, a fork from Oracle's Open Office software suite, bundles numerous extensions for Windows users that otherwise would have gone unused in the project's extensions repository.

"For Windows users, there are a lot of big wins," said Michael Meeks, distinguished engineer at Novell.

LibreOffice 3.3 also fixes a number of bugs that continue to plague Open Office 3.3, including memory and startup issues.
