Virtual Billboard Network in Alliance with Medius

Jul 30, 1998

The Virtual Billboard Network (VBN) signed a reciprocal sales representation agreement with The Medius Network, a sports specialty Internet advertising network.

The Virtual Billboard Network, the Internet advertising media division of Gallop & Gallop Advertising Inc., said it delivers 20 million ad impressions monthly through the display of Virtual Billboard Network banners on Canadian Web sites.

The Medius Network represents dozens of professional and amateur sports Web sites including the New York Yankees, Atlanta Braves, Seattle Mariners, Kansas City Royals, and San Francisco Giants, and the American Basketball League.

“This reciprocal agreement represents the first step in a strategy to significantly increase our participation in the U.S. Internet advertising market,” said Tom Rothfels, COO of Gallop & Gallop. “The Medius Network gives us tremendous specialty content to offer advertisers interested in reaching targeted North American audiences. Their sales efforts on our behalf will make it even easier for VBN to increase the number of U.S. Web sites in our network.”

“Virtual Billboard Network’s practice of providing independently audited
campaign results will help us take advantage of U.S. advertiser interest in
Canada,” said Mark Weber, CEO of Medius Interactive Inc. “Their success in
managing large advertising accounts will significantly strengthen our sales
effort on behalf of The Medius Network.”
