iPhone 4 Launch Shows Intense Demand
The wait is over. Apple finally delivered the latest new iPhone and had plenty of eager customers lined up to buy it.
As EnterpriseMobileToday reports, a survey of buyer's waiting in line for the iPhone 4 revealed most weren't just buying to replace their phone, but specifically to get some of the new features available only in the iPhone 4. The survey also showed a change in what these buyers think is the best alternative to the iPhone. Hint, it's not BlackBerry.
Oppenheimer & Company analyst Yair Reiner surveyed 174 people waiting in line to make the purchase and came away with some statistics that should make Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) CEO Steve Jobs smile.
The launch of the iPhone 4 seems to have been far less problematic than delivery of the pre-orders went just last week. The lines were very long in places, but there were no reports of mass outages or trouble activating the phone.
