Apple Issues iOS 4.1 Beta for iPhone Developers

For all the hype that accompanied the run-up to Apple's release of the iPhone 4, the aftermath has been anything but rosy. That's because users have continued to struggle with dropped calls attributed to a glitch antenna.

Now, Apple has released the beta version of iOS 4.1 to select developers, and plans to hold a media event on Friday where it is expected to address the antenna issue. Enterprise Mobile Today takes a look.

Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) began seeding a beta version of iOS 4.1 to developers late on Wednesday and sent out invitations to some members of the media to a press conference on Friday at its Cupertino campus. The company did not say what the subject of the media event would be, but observers are betting that both it and the iOS 4.1 beta are centered around efforts to address the problems surrounding the iPhone 4.
