Sprint Providing Mobile Management for Android

Sprint and mobile management software firm Good Technology are joining forces to support Android mobile devices in the enterprise.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab, EVO 4G and Epic 4G Sprint (NYSE: S), all running the mobile operating system Android, are available on the nation's No. 3 wireless network.

Sprint (NYSE: S) and Good Technology want to provide both small and larger companies with support for these mobile devices through the Sprint Business division.

The new offering, dubbed "Good for Enterprise -- Android," focuses on mobile security and mobile messaging.

Sprint joins fellow carriers Verizon and AT&T in the mobile management services arena, mirroring an industry-wide trend -- Dell, Motorola, Zenprise, MobileIron, BoxTone and others are all expanding mobile device management offerings.
